VALIDATION WORKSHOP FOR THE REGULATORY FRAMEWORK FOR THE ACADEMIC NETWORK AND NUTRITION RESEARCH
The academy and nutrition research network that has just been restructured must be functional. It must be able to contribute to promoting healthy nutrition, preventing and combating malnutrition, and developing a research strategy by focusing on the most useful lines of research for solving priority nutritional problems. It must also be part of the Health for All strategy, in accordance with the National Multisectoral Nutrition Plan and in line with the national nutrition policy.
This network must be able to provide a platform for coordinating actions undertaken within and across all sectors, promoting effective management and efficient programming of nutrition interventions.
Given the importance and the necessity of nutritional research in general, and in particular in our country, with the obstacles that must be overcome, it seems justified, the establishment of regulatory texts to perpetuate the existence, the functionality and governance of the network to meet the many expectations of the CNN.
It is in this context that the CNN-STP, in collaboration with the DGRI of the MESRS, is organizing a three-day workshop from 17 to 19 July 2019 in Grand-Bassam to equip the network with a regulatory framework, finalize its logical framework and propose a draft order to formalize its existence.
The objective of the workshop is to equip the network with the academic environment and the research for nutrition of regulatory texts.These are:
- provide the network with internal regulations;
- finalize the logical framework of the network action plan;
- propose a letter to be sent to the STP-CNN to formalize the existence of the network;
- propose a draft decree establishing and organizing the network.
